Ten Miles before Tea
May 25, 2009 at 9:13 pm | In Poetry | 8 CommentsTen Miles before Tea
I hiked,
Walked,
Wandered,
And strolled.
I looked,
Peeked,
Stared,
And studied.
I spoke
To the clouds,
Trees,
Shrubs,
And grasses.
I sang
To the four leggeds,
The winged,
Finned,
And slitherers,
My plan was to hike ten miles before tea
And here it is evening, and I’ve gone about three.

What a delightful journey, to stop and really see, and hear, and be – thanks for sharing your natural high!

It was a great three miles though, wasn’t it?

Three miles can be quite FAR ENOUGH, AND TO THINK OF THE POEM IS TO REACH FAR. FRAN

Thank you all for your comments. Walking, seeing, and listening is the only way to go.
